God Bless America
This video was created one week after 9/11. At the time, I wanted to show how the people in our area, and around the nation responded to the attack. I also wanted to do something with the family that proved that we would not live sheltered under a rock after something like that. We would not change our way of life and cater to these horrible people.
I couldn't think of anything more "American" than to attend the first game at the ballpark after the attacks. At a time when the news was questioning when and where future attacks might take place, we refused to hide away in our house.
Looking back on things now, nearly five years later, I think the video still stands to remind all of us that even after the lies, questionable decisions, and mistakes since 9/11 there was a time when the entire country was unified and stood together as a nation.
