Synapse was just an average man, until Crey Industries got hold of him. the Crey scientists were testing a number of radical procedures for inducing super powers. Synapse was blasted with high doses of electricity for days. It amplified the electrical energy in his body, giving him the ability to harness it into super speed and electrical blasts. Synapse escaped Crey's clutches by shorting out the lab where he was kept prisioner. To this day. Crey executives deny and knowledge of the project in which Synapse was an unwilling participant.
Below is a brief collection of helpful and recommended sites for aspiring Heroes.
Get the lastest news, updates, and contest info straight from the source. Hang out and gather tips from the forums. Download the latest CoH comic book. Or even buy official CoH gear from the store.
A fan created blog for heroes to post their adventures and comments about the game. It seems to be updated pretty regularly.
A well done card generator using templates for the City of Heroes collectible card game.
Here's the official City of Heroes collectible card game creator. Take a screenshot of your hero (trim it to size with a program like Photoshop), and fill out the tiny form. It only takes a few moments to get your card in either a PDF format or JPEG (which has to be resized to print correctly). At the moment there's only one card template, but to have a tool like this from the official source is pretty unheard of. Believe me, I spent over two years in the collectible card game industry.
As the name imply's, this is GameAmp's City of Heroes site. There's lots of info here on just about everything in the game.
I nice site with the best collection of info on the "demo record" function in City of Heroes. If you've ever wanted to know how to use the 'demo record' feature in CoH to make your own CoH movies I have yet to find a better site than this one.
Stratics City of Heroes site. A good site with a lot of information, but still has more than a few 'holes' when looking for certain specific info. Still, it's a good general reference site.
IGN's City of Heroes site is an awesome spot to find just about everything you ever needed to know about CoH. Of course they're not running short on ads either. If you can put up with the flashing, blinking, swirling ad assault it's one place to find just about any CoH answer. *** But if I see another ad for SWG, I think I'll hurl. ***
What I'd consider the #1 spot for aspiring writers to create tales of Paragon City. You'll also find a fair collection of fan create art. I have to like any site that encourages that much creativity.
Fan created comics featuring fan created heroes. Who ever thought a screen capture could go so far. Take a read of some pretty amusing stuff from a wide variety of comics and heroes. You'll find fan comics, cards, and other artwork.
A site focused on playing the City of Heroes collectible card game. They've got some very nice templates for all card types in the City of Heroes collectible card game. The templates are very nicely done. They only drawback is the resolution, they're perfect for online display, but a little low res for printing.
It looks like they are the best source for CoHCCG stratgies and tools.
Another creative outlet for writers of fan fiction for CoH. It's a nice site design and carries over the "newspaper" concept very well.
